Take confidence building for instance. But instead used it as an opportunity for us to come together. His change was brought on directly by what he was exposed to while under our care but still challenged at every turn.

Personal experience
The CURIOUS Case of the Travel Baseball Tryout
Imagine this: you’re at a Harford County travel baseball tryout, feeling as CONFIDENT as a turkey on the day after Thanksgiving.I was there, all set to reveal my talent, when I realized that they had not been used in a long time. But you know what they say about staying positive? “Think positive thoughts” So, I took up a position with my baseball bat and got ready to hit like Babe Ruth himself. The pitcher wound up for the throw; taking a swing that a grandparent would make trying to kill fly with newspaper. Well, let me tell you something; this pitch went flying – right into the snack bar where it knocked over an entire display of nachos and sodas along with it as well Talk about your‘home run’! So once again just when we thought there was no more room left for surprises or displays of athleticism from yours truly; I had try-outs for outfield today too! Someone hit ball high into air far away from me—someone did that. squinted my eyes against Sun’s rays which felt like they were piercing through my soul itself while waiting. It seemed like the Universe had decided to slow down time just for me and this one moment only; because as it came closer all felt was fear. But there is beauty in failure too right? I mean sure enough not only did i not catch that ball but now also have burns on back after having looked upwards at such angle!
The Great Glove Mix-up
During an additional MEMORABLE audition, I mistook my left-handed glove for my right. When I realized that I was supposed to switch the gloves, then literally the meaning of to wing it caught on.
I threw my glove while diving for a ground ball and caught it in another hand. This was actually funny because I seemed to be trying to do comedy by catching that way.
I them started to roll on the ground like a log would when cut by lumberjacks. To add more insult to injury one coach shouted after my acrobatics, “Good job! You’re just like a cheetah!” At first I was thrilled to bits but, soon the same coach continued his comment which made me feel so deflated; “Well, a cheetah that forgot how run!”.
To make matters worse, while attempting to show off my quickness to those coaches, I unwittingly stumbled over my own both two feet. Isn’t it strange that within baseball, your own shoelaces can present themselves as stumbling blocks for life?
