‘As the saying goes, ‘The soul needs sunlight.”
How much does an average Hawaii honeymoon package cost??
Planning a honeymoon is like walking through a maze with your eyes closed – did you feel STRESSED too? Have you become a MONEY-SAVING ninja when it comes to arranging activities for your dream adventure? Even my cousin spent $5,000 — demonstrating how vacations can “save” you a bundle, right? Hawaiian honeymoon prices can be as FICKLE as a hula dancer’s hips!! How did you manage to find somewhere AMAZING that didn’t break the bank? Spending $6,000 on a week in Going away can cost an arm and a leg (and then some)! Were you pleasantly surprised by what was included in our standard package – flights, somewhere nice to stay and things to do? The idea of spending that $6,000 to help 300 animals at a shelter — wouldn’t that also WARM your heart? When you consider it. What else could all those dollar bills have been spent on? Busy bees like us found Oahu perfect because of the hustle and bustle – competition keeps prices low. On the other hand being one of just a few couples on Lanai made things more EXPENSIVE-and LUXURIOUS-feeling.
Getting A Lifetime Deal On A Hawaiian Vacation
Booking early seemed to be smart, if not particularly romantic – but hey ho, it saved us some money! When my pal went to Hawaii in May, he found it quieter and cheaper than expected.
Some of the deals included free meals in the evenings – an amazing bonus! We also learned that major travel companies were selling off-peak honeymoon packages with perks like room upgrades and romantic dinners.
Where to honeymoon in Hawaii?
Picking the right one is essential – each has different draws. Oahu is VIBRANT & colourful; ideal if you like sunbathing by day and city lights by night. If you’re looking for plenty to do as well as time to chill, Maui won’t disappoint. As well as fabulous beaches there’s snorkelling, hiking and more. For somewhere PEACEFUL consider Kauai aka ‘Lanai, often known as the Garden Isle, has opulent hotels and empty beaches. perfect if you don’t want lots of people around!
When to Go?
There are two things to think about: what time of year suits you best climatically speaking (most months are warm) – but also when will it be cheapest? Prices increase between April and October because that’s when most visitors arrive.
If possible, avoid these months, as we did when planning our trip for spring 2022; this meant missing both expensive peaks while hopefully taking advantage of any low season deals – though don’t rely too heavily on this last point, as deals can change based on demand at any given time.
Although this situation did not badly affect our days of holiday, some higher prices and fully booked hotels were the results of it.
Exploring Beyond the Beaches on Your Hawaiian Honeymoon
Hawaii’s beaches were the ultimate, but the honeymoon’s little bit of everything was the real delight.
The vacation located on a different island in which we went was filled with points of interest and different activities for us. Oahu has the dramatic period of Pearl Harbor and also the vibrant culture of Hawaii’s capital in addition to action-packed activities.
MauI’s unique Haleakala National Park and the highly-trafficked Road to Hana made us see the waterfalls and get the scenic view.
We also tried the hiking trails in Kauai, the Big Island’s volcanoes and snorkeling in Lanai’s clear water if you are a fan of outdoor activities. We participated in cultural tours, helicopter flights and whale watching that we have never been experienced before and therefore, made our honeymoon special. Thus, I successfully conducted the planning of our Hawaiian honeymoon that was inclusive of our budget and the schedule. With the help of some research and clever planning, we/we’d/ have an unforgettable and fun time. Whether one spends time at the beach on a longtime hiking trail, or in a luxurious spa, HawaI’d is indeed a dream place to vacation.
When the GPS Can Be a Sucker: The Hilarious Story of a Hawaiian Honeymoon Problem
– I can see us all creating a beautiful memory of our first doing the Hawaiian honeymoon. It really makes us feel above the ground. We reserved a table at the most romantic and QUIET place on Kauai which our GPS could not properly understand.
Instead of getting us to our beachfront bungalow, which was only two steps away, we ended up getting chased.
Who would have thought that this paradise is a place of ‘unpaved roads of adventure’? There we were in our tiny rented car, determined to meet whatever fate had in store for us.
“Is this correct?” I inquired as we drove along a route that was more like a trail for mountain goats.
My partner, ever hopeful, quipped, “Perhaps, it’s a shortcut!” Irony. We wanted quiet, but the car getting mired in the wilderness was not on the menu. It was becoming darker and darker and our “shortcut” became a comedy of errors.
After a thousand years, we were finally back in civilization.
We ended up at a luau, unintentionally joining the party and the organizer even mistaken us as the stars of the night.
What a performance. And here is the twist – this show was the highlight of our vacation “The least expected thing was that my awkward dancing became a sensation.!” Which is nothing less than the story of a romantic comedy being your own The lesson here? Sometimes, the road less traveled is less traveled for a reason.
Perhaps, yes perhaps, the wrong step was taken by the blind child in us who believed in the technology of the Pacific. My friends Ryleigh Torres from Columbia, South Carolina and Iris Brooks said that with good planning, a Hawaiian honeymoon can be fun and not too expensive.
